Why?
Unfortunately the services provided by bookkeepers, accountants and advisers are not homogeneous. Therefore the adage “you get what you pay for” applies.
There are areas we all skimp on in our lives, areas that aren’t important to us. I would say the areas I skimp on are probably fashion and the car I drive. Where as these things might be very important to you.
In my opinion the trusted adviser you employ to produce the information you base your financial decisions on should not be the place to skimp. This area affects all other areas in your life and poor information can lead to bad decision making, leading to more emotional and financial stress.
